The Exorcist is an effect for the Bizarre Magician that utilises and ‘old’ gimmick used by card sharks, but has been turned into a surprise presentation using tarot cards.

Your volunteer is shown 3 face-up tarot cards, The Devil is trapped between two magicians. The cards are freely displayed then turned face down and the volunteer takes out the middle Devil card who then holds it between their cupped hands. A small wood cross is placed on top of the volunteer’s hands whilst the exorcism takes place. The two magician cards are left in full view.

Although the volunteer has been holding The Devil card all along, when they open their hands The Devil has disappeared and the card is now blank.
