You tell a tale of 5 Demons and a trial set by Satan to find a leader for his First Hierarchy of Demons which you recreate with your volunteer. Your volunteer examines 5 Demon cards and secretly chooses one at random (you do not know which one), they then have a free choice of number.

The Demon cards are mixed three times according to their chosen number, then they are eliminated one-by-one. You look your volunteer in the eyes and declare that the Demon inside them is, for example, Belphegor. They state that was indeed the one.

Now they turn over the remaining Demon card they are holding to find that is is the chosen Demon!

The volunteer does all of the handling, they have a free choice at all times, there is no sleight of hand and the Demon cards can be examined afterwards. The cards do the hard work for you!
