Cognition is a demonstration of the power of the sub-conscious human mind to recall pictures and patterns. The vivid picture cards of the Madame Endora pack are used.
This is a development of ‘Power of the Tarot’ but with a completely different presentation away from the occult but as an experiment or demonstration on a scientific basis.
Having shown your volunteer that two piles of picture cards are thoroughly mixed up you challenge them to remember the order of both piles and then to mix them up so that they are both in the same order - a seemingly impossible task. However you encourage them to let their sub-conscious mind do the work.
One pack is chosen as a ‘control’ and placed face down then the other pack is thoroughly mixed whilst face down.
Now both packs are placed face down side by side and turned over in pairs...and both packs now match exactly!
Simple to do but VERY effective.
